An extract from a script-opening scene

EXT. A DARK ALLEY-NIGHT

We can see A YOUNG WOMAN dressed in a long silver raincoat that comes down to her knees and long black leather boots that go up to her thighs. Facing down, shadow’s obscure her face, but the dim light from an above street lamp illuminates her bright blue hair. She is stood with her back to the wall one leg leant against it. She reaches into her pocket. CLOSE UP of a gloved hand slowly opening a silver cigarette case and reaching for a long, thin, jet black cigarette. CLOSE UP of the cigarette being placed between a pair of deep red lips. CLOSE UP of the bright orange flame as it lights the tip of the cigarette. The YOUNG WOMAN inhales deeply before flicking her head back. We see the YOUNG WOMAN in full as she exhales a thin stream of smoke into the air. Before smiling to her self. FADE OUT

FADE IN. INT. A LARGE DARKENED ROOM-NIGHT

We can see AN OLD MAN in his late sixties, sittings on a worn black leather chair. He is looks like an ageing rocker from the future. His face pale and wrinkled he is wearing black leather trousers, red snake skin boots and a black shirt. His head is shaved and a line of silver studs goes down the middle of it. He smiles to himself. CUT TO CLOSE UP of his hand covered in tattoos, fingernails grotesquely long and seemingly made of steel. FADE OUT.

FADE IN. EXT STREET- NIGHT

We see a pair of black boots walking down busy street. The camera pans up to reveal THE YOUNG WOMAN walking slowly with a silver briefcase in hand. We now see her surroundings. A busy, dirty urban landscape. Skyscrapers that disappear into the night. CUT TO CLOSE UP’s of CCTV cameras that watch the peoples every move. Flashing neon lights offer promises of nudity. Giant screens and billboards advertise dreams. The people on the street dress in strange and wonderful fashions(think steam-punk meets Alexander mqueen). Businessmen in bowler hats and fur coats, with black umbrellas and platform shoes. A Hustler in a top hat and brass goggles walks with his lady, her in a long black dress, black eye mask and a hat as tall as her partners. Hookers in latex catsuits and outrageous heels. Cyber punks with purple hair and long black trench coats stand in groups smoking and laughing at the homeless men and women fighting for scraps. THE YOUNG WOMAN walks through as if in a world of her own. Taking long slow strides the crowds of people seem to unconsciously part as she passes through them. CUT TO

INT. THE OLD MANS HOUSE –NIGHT

THE OLD MAN is leant back in his chair. This time a BODYGAURD stands next to him. The BODYGAURD is of medium build and looks like a model. He is wearing a sharp looking black suit with the blazer off, and a holster with two rather large looking guns on either side. On the other side of THE OLD MAN stands A WOMAN. THE WOMAN is tall, it is hard to tell her age as her face is covered by a white veil attached to what look like antler’s. The rest of her is covered up by a white dress, her arms not visible. She looks down at THE OLD MAN slowly. THE OLD MAN looks up at THE BODYGAURD and smiles. The BODYGAURD smiles back and reaches up to stroke his gun. CUT TO CLOSE UP of the gun, so big it almost looks cartoonish. CUT BACK TO THE OLD MAN who is staring intently straight ahead CUT TO CLOSE UP OF OLD MANS FACE subtitles:

“ARE YOU READY”

CUT BACK TO

EXT STREET-NIGHT

THE YOUNG WOMAN stands in a large doorway looking straight ahead. CUT TO CLOSE UP THE YOUNG WOMANS as she lights a cigarette and looks straight into the camera subtitles

A screenshot from Lady Gaga's "Papparazzi" video.

I love the costumes in Lady Gaga's videos, the are sexy, surreal, and glamorous. This costume for example, based on Minnie mouse, is amazing. Laday Gaga's art direction has been a HUGE influence on my script in terms of costume etc....

An picture of Lady Gaga....
One of the influences for my film script......

Another image from the "post apocalyptic landscape" series...........

another on by me.............
This is part of series of image I took in Leicester entitled " The post apocalyptic landscape" in which I imagined what Landscape Photography would be like once we wiped ourselves out with nuclear war and global warming.
This was taken at a demolition site.........

Another one of mine.....
I took a series of photograhs off CCTV cameras in Leicester on estates where there are too many. The idea for the series was "watching them, watching us".
I edited this quite alot on Photoshop. Adjusting the colour saturation, and using the blur tool to slightly distort the cameras, and make them look as though they are melting......

Another image taken by me during my AS photography days......
Whilst out walking I encountered this structure, it may have been an antenna or something, but it looked from where I was standing like a crucifix. I took the photograph from a low angle to give it a sense of power. I then edited in photoshop to produce the effect seen here.
